Graduate Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program

Congratulations on completing the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program! Now that you are on your mindfulness journey, you can continue developing and nurturing this path. To support you with this, I am offering all MBSR graduates various ways to connect with our MBSR community, and to deepen your understanding of mindfulness.
Take MBSR Again
Take the eight-week MBSR again as an alumna/alumnus. For more information about the actual MBSR and to register click here. You may also take the Individual MBSR program.
Many people find that taking the MBSR program again provides them with opportunities to further strengthen their mindfulness practices. If you completed the MBSR program with me, then your fee to take it again will be 50% off! If you’re interested, please email me before filling the online application form as space is limited.
All-Day Session for MBSR/MBCT Graduates
You can also join just the All-day Retreat that is part of the eight-week MBSR program. Like the program as a whole, the All-day Session will provide alumni with the opportunity to engage in formal MBSR mindfulness meditation practices and explore themes concerning automatic, habitual stress reactivity, perception, mindfulness-mediated stress response, and interpersonal communication.
How to Apply
Registration opens when a Sign-up button shows up below a few weeks before the session. To apply for the upcoming ONLINE All-Day MBSR session (only open for MBSR/MBCT graduates), please scroll down, click on the Sign-up button and fill the form below (if no Sign-up button appears, registration is not open).
Please don’t send a payment until you receive a confirmation e-mail from me. Instructions on how to join us online will be sent to you.
Cost: All-Day Session for Graduates
$60 CAD for one All-Day session
Helpful Fee Info: I am a Registered Psychologist (R.Psych) in British Columbia (BC). Some Extended Health plans cover Psychological Services for BC residents. Sliding scale rates are available upon request.
Payment by INTERAC e-Transfer preferred. You can contact me if you need to make a special payment arrangement. Receipts will be provided upon course completion.
Refunds: All refund requests are to be emailed to info@janklimas.com and must be received at least 24 hours before the session. Refunds are subject to a $50 processing fee. After that point, no refunds or credits will be provided except for emergency situations.
Prerequisites
As a stand-alone retreat, the MBSR All-Day session is only open to those who have completed the eight-week MBSR or MBCT program. You will also be practicing with other participants from the current eight-week MBSR program.
The All-Day session will provide you with 7.5 hours to deepen your mindfulness practices and connect with other MBSR and MBCT participants. The practices will include body scan, mindful yoga, sitting meditation, walking meditation, loving-kindness meditation, and mindful eating.
The day will be in silence most of the time, and will end with a debrief of your experience. The dates of future MBSR All-Day sessions will be posted here.
